National Residential Landlords Association – The Landlord Conference
The National Residential Landlords Association (NRLA), the UK’s largest membership organisation for private residential landlords, held its inaugural national conference on November 15 last year.
The association, which supports and represents more than 100,000 members in England and Wales welcomed more than 600 delegates, speakers, and exhibitors to ‘The Landlord Conference’ at Coventry Arena.
The event, unique in the landlord sector, aimed to bring NRLA members, and other property professionals together, with a programme of expert speakers and panel discussions covering hot topics in the sector including mortgages, legislation and energy efficiency.
The conference was designed to support landlords at a particularly challenging time, given political and economic uncertainty, soaring interest rates, with the shadow of dramatic legislation change looming on the horizon.
The event was so popular ticket sales had to be frozen on the weekend before the event due to capacity at the venue, with all exhibition stand spaces selling out.
All KPIs were exceeded for the conference, which recorded:
• Total profit of £45,551 (total income of £109,072, total costs of £63,52)
• Total ticket sales of 460 (+53% on target).
• An average exhibitor satisfaction score of 4.5/5, with 50% scoring the conference 5/5.
Royal Town Planning Institute – The Planner Women of Influence
The Planner is the media brand produced by Redactive Media Group on behalf of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
Since 2016 it has run an annual Women of Influence campaign. Tying in each year with International Women’s Day, its aim is to recognise the achievements of women in what has traditionally been a male-dominated sector, encouraging celebration and awareness of their work and promoting a more diverse image of the profession to a new generation.
Having started out as a Tweet, the campaign has grown over time to become a source of considerable online engagement on and around the date of publication. The planning profession’s Women of Influence are now regularly recognised.
However, the ambition has increasingly been to associate an in-person event with the campaign, allowing the sector as a whole to come together as a community around the campaign’s objectives.
In 2022 this vision was realised with an inaugural in-person drinks reception, panel discussion and a photocall for the 2022 Women of Influence present.
