BEST LONGSTANDING EVENT BY AN ASSOCIATION
British Compressed Gases Association – BCGA Conference 2022
“Excellent conference, speakers and subjects, probably the best I’ve been to.”
Delegates who attended the BCGA Conference 2022 were greeted with a packed programme of key industry speakers and presentations from high level figures including Lord Karan Bilimoria of the CBI.
Covid-19 continued to have an impact, requiring a new keynote speaker at short notice, with polar explorer Alan Chambers MBE stepping in to give a presentation described as: “amazing, motivating and entertaining.”
With panel discussions introduced as a new element this year, and the second Industry Recognition Awards taking place after the conference, following a successful introduction in 2021, the April conference at the Marriott Hotel and Country Club in Worsley, Manchester, proved to be an overwhelming success.
Detailed delegate feedback found the speakers, panel debates, information pack and venue all scored highly, with the event overall applauded as being “refreshing,” with “excellent delivery” and “well put together.”
Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys – CITMA Spring Conference
Following two years of online events, our first return to an in-person CITMA Spring Conference was an exciting opportunity to bring our members together to learn, network and also give back to a much changed society and world. By refreshing our previous conference format and offering a scaled down, more affordable, environmentally friendly and time efficient conference we gave our members an opportunity to reconnect with their colleagues and the profession across 1.5 days.
Delegates were able to partake in one of two CSR activities; offering free legal advice on trade marks to members of the public via zoom or volunteering their time to support Vauxhall City Farm. Following on from the activities, our drinks reception in the evening thronged with excited delegates who were meeting colleagues they had not seen for a long time and making new connections in a relaxed environment. The full second day of the conference saw more than 180 people come together for a day of learning and networking to engage with a programme comprised of government officials, barristers, senior partners and other subject matter experts that was relevant, exciting and educational for our members.
Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine – FPM Annual Symposium
The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine (FPM) annual symposium has been in existence for almost 20 years, supporting education and professional development across pharmaceutical medicine and beyond. However, it is in the last few years especially when it has truly grown and evolved to become the flagship event in our specialty.
Since 2017, the annual symposium has grown from half a day to two full days, has seen delegate numbers increase by 50% and net revenue grow seven-fold. Delegate satisfaction has remained significantly above industry standards. Even during the turbulence of the last two years, the metrics have all been pointing in the right direction. Indeed, COVID has spurred FPM to take risks and innovate, and the event is even stronger for it.
The symposium is now a proven platform for thought leadership, and an opportunity for FPM’s members and the wider community to feel connected to their professional body and to each other. Our success has attracted some extremely well-regarded speakers, generating significant press and media interest. A regular cohort of national and trade journalists now attend, all eager to hear the latest developments in pharmaceutical medicine and the life sciences from leaders in the field.
Hire Association Europe | Event Hire Association – Hire Awards of Excellence
Hire Association Europe and Event Hire Association (HAE EHA) is a trade association representing members who hire, manufacture, or supply, plant, tools, and event equipment.
HAE EHA provides operational products, services and resources to sole traders, small businesses and large commercial companies which hire or supply tools and equipment for domestic works, construction, or events. Alongside the operational resources HAE EHA provide, we also organise member and industry events (networking events, Hire Conference, golf day, and webinars).
The Association’s highest-profile event is the Hire Awards of Excellence, held annually in a prestigious London venue. The Hire Awards celebrates the amazing achievements of hire and supply companies across the UK’s plant, tool, equipment and event hire industry. Crucial recognition is also given to outstanding individuals in the industry, who have consistently stood out from the crowd, as well as set some of the highest standards in the industry.
HURA – DK festival / Dani komunikacija
DK festival is not your typical communications festival. Since the launch, only its mission has remained the same – connect and celebrate the Croatian communications industry. Everything else has outgrown the term “business conference”. Now the festival is synonymous with syntagms such as “out-of-the-box approach”, “unique program”, “provocative production” and “top-notch organisation”.
The festival, whose last edition was held from March 31 to April 3 2022 in Rovinj, connects the entire communications industry. Created with the aim of learning, networking, best practices that encourage change, out-of-the-box approach and creating new stories that will shape the communication industry in the future, DK festival became one of the most innovative industry festivals in the region.
World-class lecturers on the 360° stage of the main hall, nightclub as a streaming hall, yoga classes – this is the most unusual communication festival, but also pure emotion because of its participants who come to learn, share knowledge, gain inspiration and have fun.
We are glad to re-demonstrate every year how learning can be refreshing, creative, and innovative as well as that the energy of the festival shows the importance and potential of our industry and the fantastic people who are part of it.
Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management – IWFM Impact Awards 2021
The Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM)’s Impact Awards recognise best-in-class workplace and facilities management, celebrating the sector’s impact on the economy, environment and society at large.
The sector represents those frontline personnel who work as cleaners, caterers, security guards, hospital assistants and others. Its practitioners also boost organisations’ productivity, reduce their carbon emissions and oversee major operational changes. Finalists and winners serve as a source of gold-standard practice in a constantly evolving sector.
In 2019 the IWFM made the bold decision to appoint the events management division of its existing membership publishing agency – Redactive – to run the awards process.
The IWFM Impact Awards went ahead by necessity online. So the in-person 2021 event – after the sector had been keeping offices and buildings operational during COVID-19 – would be a precious opportunity to celebrate together.
The event, at London’s Grosvenor House on 11 October 2021, didn’t disappoint.
Financial results far exceeded expectations; feedback from commercial partners and attendees was phenomenal; and the mood on the dance floor (especially for a Monday night) was exuberant.
SolarPower Europe – SolarPower Summit
The SolarPower Summit is SolarPower Europe’s annual flagship event. It brings together 300 industry representatives from all major energy players, as well as SMEs and a range of decision-makers from the EU and beyond.
In March 2022, we had our first in-person summit in 2 years gathering key solar stakeholders to confer on how to take solar to the next level in Europe. This year’s conference came at a crucial time as solar is placed in the limelight as a significant actor in achieving greater energy independence in Europe in the wake of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The SolarPower Summit is recognised as one of the most important energy events in Brussels. It originated as an annual meeting gathering our members and has since expanded to a wider audience which now encompasses the entire solar value chain.
The event is unique as it is the only European summit representing the Solar Sector with a strong focus on policy. We have tried to provide an unforgettable experience while paying particular attention to sustainability which is at the core of everything we do.
