AXREM –Member Accreditation
AXREM (the UK trade association representing suppliers of diagnostic medical imaging, radiotherapy, healthcare IT and care equipment in the UK), are aware that some NHS Trusts in England have contracted with 3rd party companies to provide a credentialing and accreditation service on their behalf. We understand these have been positioned as “free” services to participating NHS Trusts, though these credentialing companies levy a charge to supplier organisations on a recurring annual “per employee” basis. Whilst offered as a free service to NHS Trusts, these schemes present additional costs within supply chain which ultimately impacts the price the NHS pays for goods and services.
The AMA scheme is specifically aligned with NHS requirements and policies. AXREM has ensured that the scheme is open and transparent, maintaining alignment with NHS and Professional Body stakeholders. The AMS Scheme Council includes representations from The Society and College of Radiographers, Institute of Physics & Engineering in Medicine, The Royal College of
Radiologists and The British Institute of Radiology.
The scheme has over 2200 registrants, AMA offers registration to AXREM members on a not for basis meaning our scheme would have saved the NHS hundreds of thousands of pounds.

Community Pharmacy Scotland – Membership Support
Community Pharmacy Scotland (CPS) represents and supports pharmacy owners and their teams across Scotland, advocating for the provision of pharmaceutical care services aligned with NHS Scotland and local priorities. Our goal is to secure sustainable funding for these services through negotiations with the Scottish Government on behalf of our 1234 member pharmacies.
In July 2023, a transition to the new prescription payment system by National Service Scotland (NSS) disrupted accurate monthly payments, causing distress among pharmacy owners. CPS increased engagement with NSS, triaged urgent payment issues, and audited payment data, securing nearly £10 million in accurate reimbursements that may have been overlooked without CPS intervention.
CPS aims to establish a Community Pharmacist Independent Prescriber (IP) service in all Community Pharmacies in Scotland within the next decade. Despite COVID-19 challenges, we transitioned to online training and set up key communication routes, including WhatsApp groups, newsletters, and online meetings, to support IPs and trainees.
CPS communicates with members via redesigned newsletters, video news roundups, a user-friendly website, direct mailings, surveys, and social media. Our website offers comprehensive information on NHS services, government circulars, consultations, and updated drug tariffs.
Through these initiatives, CPS has provided essential support to our members.
The Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys – CITMA Mentoring
We know that our members have a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with each other. Our new, online CITMA Mentoring programme aims to make impactful connections between our members that provide opportunities for personal and professional growth.
CITMA Mentoring was launched in October 2023 in response to our membership survey the previous year where a fifth of the respondents indicated their interest in becoming a mentor or mentee.
We were keen to offer a mentoring scheme as we recognised a growing need amongst newly qualified and student members for support and guidance in their professional journeys. While many firms offer internal mentoring schemes, we saw an opportunity to connect members from different backgrounds to gain new perspectives on their careers.
Since launching 6 months ago, we have now hit a milestone of 100 members signing up either as a mentor, mentee or both on the scheme. This is roughly half the number of members who responded positively towards being a mentor or mentee in the membership survey, which has exceeded our expectations.
