UK ASSOCIATION OF THE YEAR (OVER 500 MEMBERS)
Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals
The Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) is the Chartered Institute for payroll, pensions, and rewards professionals in the UK. and is dedicated to raising the profile of payroll in business across the UK and internationally.
The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS) was the government’s primary mechanism for financially supporting the UK’s working population during the pandemic. The CIPP has been fundamental in supporting not only members, but the entire payroll community in understanding, communicating, and implementing the CJRS and its revisions at incredible speed. With 11.9m people having been placed on furlough and therefore eligible for CJRS, the CIPP has been integral in supporting the economy and keeping the UK paid.

Federation of Master Builders
From humble beginnings, the Federation of Master Builders (FMB) is today the largest trade association in the UK construction sector. We’re proud of our history and our enduring commitment to helping quality small and medium-sized building companies thrive.
In 2021, we celebrated our 80th anniversary with a wealth of improvements to business processes, innovations in member engagement, and successes in our campaigns to benefit the wider construction industry and consumers. We did this alongside considerable focus on supporting our people, our efforts here being recognised with the award of ‘Gold’ Investors in People for the first time.
This year the FMB achieved our long-sought target of ensuring all our members are inspected. We saw a 477% improvement in our click through rate on member newsletters, with targeted, better quality content. Over 2,400 people watched our Master Builder Awards ceremonies, and we recruited 300 more new members than in 2020. We also secured Parliamentary progress for our campaign to improve standards across the whole construction sector, and led industry work on net zero.
This submission reflects the pride, commitment, dedication and team spirit demonstrated by all across the organisation.
National Association of Link Workers
NALW is the only professional body for Social Prescribing Link Workers in the UK. In less than four years, our successful influencing and agile strategy have seen NALW grow into an independent, sustainable, and widely recognised organisation. We’re a genuinely ground-breaking Association; working collaboratively with our members and partners, we have successfully created the demand for the profession and achieved a compelling scale of influence, leading to increased investment in social prescribing link workers. As a creative disruptor, we launched our annual #LinkWorkerDay campaign in 2019, incorporating our annual conference and awards. Despite covid19 challenges, in 2021, our unstoppable serial successful campaign was still a success; it received key industry media headline coverage, over 4 million Twitter impressions, a support message from the Minister for Health, and made the UK twitter trend. This year #LinkWorkerDay2022 takes place on the 19th of May, in partnership with The Healthcare Show at ExCel, London, the largest gathering of healthcare leaders, demonstrating our successful influence and impact. Our ever-passionate CEO is among the Health Service Journal Power list of 50 Black, Asian, and minority ethnic figures who will exercise the most power and/or influence in the English NHS and health policy.
National Hair & Beauty Federation
Established in 1942, the NHBF helps Members to run successful and profitable hair and beauty businesses, evolving its support to match the fast-changing needs of a highly creative industry. To change the Government’s understanding of its sector, the NHBF had to change its own approach, drawing increasingly on new research and cross-sector collaboration. As hair & beauty businesses recover from the pandemic, the NHBF has looked to celebrate innovation within its ranks and invested to develop new services to support its Members.
National Residential Landlords Association
